Interesting article currently on the Doctor Who Worldwide site featuring Tom Spilsbury's comments on how the omnirumour came into being.

Could of been put to bed a long time ago by a couple of people ! Sanity restored now If only that were true. All this clarifies is Tom was as much an unwitting recipient of the misinformation as the rest of us who followed - not the cause.

Read the article myself which was candid and interesting. He certainly didnt help things as far the Rumour was concerned, but its hardly crime of the century and theres still a lot more questions than answers. Agree with Shelley, certain people could have stalled this whole fiasco, right at the start if they had wanted too. Why they didnt is one of those questions, but I gave up caring a long time ago.

If you read between the lines, it implies who Tom originally heard it from. Which anyone at the time would have believed. At this point I have no idea what is happening with phil. Hopefully this is not the end of recoveries.

I'm still trying to work out how Tom Spilsbury has 'commented publicly', when all the attributed comments have apparently been leaked from a private email to an unnamed recipient. Did he intend for it to be published on Planet Mondas? If so, I wonder why he didn't just make a statement himself.
One wonders if the unnamed recipient is on his 'trusted' list now...

Tom posted it on Mondas himself. As has been said previously, the whole omnirumour could have been put to bed on day 1, by one person in particular. Hopefully that person will make all this faff on worthwhile in the end.

While I appreciate the candor of Tom. All the letter does is show that he heard rumors and talked to his close friends like the rest of us.
We all appreciate what Phil Morris found. But there are still many questions . questions include what leads may still be in the works?. Does Phil know of any other episodes? Why wasn't snowman and wheel with Web enemy? What was the real story behind the Marco rumor?
All these we may never get a straight answer on. And it may not be our place to know yet. Hopefully decisions are being made for the right reasons. It does verify that the rumors of Web enemy were around a while before they were turned over.
The summary for me is that we should be thankful for Phils help and let it encourage us that there could be more out there.also it's not a one man hunt and that all should continue to do what they can to locate episodes.

As for Philip Morris, the guy won't ever get any criticism from me.

The wind is free! Fly free wind! Seriously - someone, somewhere needs to explain this whole mess. I've been hearing rhetoric about winds and unimaginable finds via a twitter account for quite awhile now.
