There was a great show on tonight about the history of Eurovision. They had lots of home VHS in the show to make up for lost footage of interiews with Bucks Fizz etc. It also looks like they lost the 1964 screening from Copenhagen. Apparaently this was due to a fire. Does anyone have anything more to add?
Birmingham International. :-)

Terry Wogan would allegedly drink a bottle of Scotch whilst commentating. I wonder if they lost his commentary on purpose.

The copy of the 1984 contest held at the BBC appears to be the Irish RTE presentation (with in-vision continuity at the start!) - good to see at least some of the BBC version with Wogan commentary survives somewhere.

How about 1964 that I was originally talking about? Hi Marie. Glad you enjoyed the show! Sadly, 1964 still remains lost (although audio exists for the whole show, plus the extract we used in the programme).
