Funny this, it came up in a PM conversation with Ray recently. Apparently they are all existing but IIRC they may have slightly different / shorter introductions from when originally broadcast.

Apparently...we think...I gather....the problem may lie with the Arthur Lowe linking material a la "What a lot of Mr. Men there are".Maybe.

with the help of the BBC Genome Project, the 6 above that have no episode titles are.. 28/1/75 Mr Silly, 4/2/75 Mr Sneeze, 11/2/75 Mr Uppity, 18/2/75 Mr Nosey, 25/2/75 Mr Snow and 4/3/75 Mr Daydream...these were all shown on BBC 1 at 13.45 pm - 13.50 pm. All 12 ME may well be on youtube, if someone wants to check and post any of the 12, with their durations, as the posts above seem to say, the Arthur Lowe narrations are incomplete?, if I am reading their posts correctly..

I know at least one of the introductions survived. At least until the mid-90's when Channel 4 did their Take 5 children's series at lunch times. They also screened a number of Little Miss episodes with introductions that I am sure I haven't seen since. I did have a tape full of the Channel 4 screenings but I taped over them with Oasis stuff. I am annoyed now as the DVD of the Little Misses has several mute sections. I have wondered many times if the BBc screening of The Little Miss and Mr Men Show still exist. The Mr Men were given a funky new intro tune to keep it more in line with the Little Misses and also I noticed via the only copy to turn up on Youtube that they had new incidental music too. The version here has very poor sound but skip to 7:14 for the Mr Men theme and 13:47 for the Train end credits. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxiDSFN2-sQ

last night, I located all 12 ME on youtube and made a submission to Lostshows.com, giving the links to for all 12. When I obtained the episode titles, for the untitled 6 above, from the BBC Genome Project site, I noticed that all these episodes were broadcast at 1.45 pm -1.50 pm on BBC 1...only 5 minutes.
The 12 I located last night are all circa 7.28 minutes long with the Arthur Lowe narration.
Chris Perry has been in touch this morning..."These editions - I am no Mr Men expert. Are these the originals? I have been told these are redubbed versions missing some dialogue. These versions do look like they are off old videotape though."
Would some-one who knows about Mr Men, or original versions, like to look at these on youtube and tell us if these are the originals?...bearing in mind that when originally broadcast they seem to have a 5 minute time-slot, whereas these youtube 12 are circa 7.28 minutes, I suppose some-one could watch all 12 and see if there appears to any missing dialogue, I guess from Arthur Lowe?

Simon at Kaleidoscope has sent this to Chris who has sent to me..
Simon's view "I don't think so. Too long. Series 1 only had a five minute slot. These are all 7 and a half minutes including end titles and don't even have an opening title sequence. Each Mr Man in Series 1 reappears in the 15 minute segments in Series 2 along with 13 new Mr Men. I don't know, but the fact that the Series 1 episodes don't survive makes me think that the film was cannabalised for the Season Two episodes - just extended to 7 minutes. I've not seen them, but I assume the Season Two episodes weren't two-handers but were two 7 minute episodes in a 15 minute slot with around a minute's worth of opening and closing titles. Perhaps someone a bit younger than me can confirm that."
So folks...the 12 are still ME, but now we have names/titles for the 6 untitled episodes on Lostshows.com...I have asked CP if he or Simon can update Lostshows with the 6 names for the untitled episodes..

It sounds plausible that the original series 1 masters were re-edited to match the series 2 format.

On viewing the episodes on DVD I noticed they were different from when I remember watching them as a kid. There was the narration with Arthur Lowe doing a little rendition of the theme and then speaking, "Pom pom p pom p pom p pom pom pom pom, what a lot of Mister Men there are. I wonder which one we are going to meet today?" I am fairly sure these are retained on the LP versions which I have.
Also there was a different Little Miss theme when I remember watching them the first time. There were Mr Men and Little Miss episodes shown together "Little Miss and Mr Men..."
Also what I found odd on the DVDs is a lot of the colours are wrong. is this how the episodes were originally made> Some of the greens look grey for example.

Julian,I'm sure I've heard that Arthur Lowe narration-on video,I think.Does he-or should he-go on between two Mr.Men stories per episode to ask something like "Who will we meet next,I wonder?".

there were definately 2 handers with the 2nd episode often uncredited as I watched these as a kid and recall asking my mum about that very thing! the other theme was for the little miss & mr men "all friends together round and round we go" one.

I liked the "all friends together round and round we go" & the animation to go with it. Me & My brother liked Mr Mean saying "I'm Mean" On the DVDs this was at the end of each of the Little Miss episodes before the closing titles.

This is my first posting so I don’t know if it’s appropriate to mention this here – or even if what I’m about mention counts as missing episodes at all. Still, here we go. Given that Mr Grumpy and Mr Worry’s stories were produced in 1981, and that Arthur had recorded soundtracks for Roger's other 11 stories from 1978, I’m wondering if Arthur’s death in 1982 had something to do with these not being produced too. It mightn’t have been thought appropriate to continue, or did cost come into it? Follow the link – you’ll cry for the rest of your life! The ‘two’ versions of Mr Grumpy and Mr Worry are identical, in terms of spoken dialogue, pointing an arrow towards something happening. www.youtube.com/watch?v=e899GYK7xck
