The NME in April 1967 had a wee article about a proposed 26 episode colour comedy TV show called "Presenting the Tremeloes" it was to be shown on U.S. TV but other countries around the world.
It was to be a "Monkee" type TV show (a pilot show was filmed in Scotland) it seemingly had something to do with a Lands End to John O'Groats walking road race and the NME had a wee B/W picture of the Tremeloes on the back page.
Al Brodax from King Features (who did the Beatles cartoon TV series) was to fly over to Britain to discuss the show.
The article mentions that it was thought that the humour was "too British" for U.S. viewers
I would like to think that the pilot footage survives? but I daresay we'll never find out?
