I was speaking to a fishing mate today who just as it happens used to sell electronic parts to africa. He sold to Nigeria NOT Jos though. He told me that jos is higher up and a more tolerable climate ! He also said that 40 odd years ago a lebanese company ran a sweet factory there as climate was cooler. I find this fascinating info. And also why They moved their capitol years ago to a higher level for cooler climate as well.

Hopefully that's the case with wheel and snowman also I just find small bits of info interesting. The climate is not as hot as some first thought. 40 odd years ago a lot of companies operated in that region because it was cheaper, and climate a lot cooler higher up. But with the northern groups of people it has become a very unsafe place. The other 2 in that block are our other real hope of getting those back whole. Lets just hope they turn up

Fingers crossed, the only negative here is that Philip Morris has been through the archive at Jos, and unless information, for whatever reason, hasn't been made public about recovery of these two serials, which seems unlikely to me, we can conclude that unless they are stored somewhere else, and if so due to the volatile nature of the area a return visit is unlikely for now, they probably remain lost to us.

The million dollar question guys is simple. Were they it ? Well, i guess when i read the monthly special in 1981 and saw the bad state the archives were in, I can only say how grateful i am we have what we have. Logic says that most of the remaining ones are likely to be lost forever if not already found. 100% find is highly unlikely. I just wish that animation will be cost effective one day !

The documentation was sketchy back in the 60's and 70's which give a lot of room to think of places episodes can be located for example relay stations and TV stations store rooms and archives that aren't catalogued well or if at all.

I guess the north of the country had a colder climate. I reckon a lot of cans were taken for granted destroyed to save cost of return posting cost !

Well it could be they just ignored them and signed them instead of allocating someone to documenting and throwing away of all the content, I think New Zealand and Australia had solid documentation and evidence they have destroyed the tapes and the rest of the stations are hit and miss especially when it comes to the bicycle system and I think Singapore had one of the worst.
