www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=award+showhere is a Missing one-off that had Bruce Forsyth as Host, Lady Barnett, Jeremy Brett, Violet Carson, Raymond Francis, Margaret Lockwood, Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Barry Took and Marty Feldman... Sunday 8.25 - 9.25pm 29/7/62...Produced and Directed by Alan Tarrant. Jeremy Brett got the award for Tomorrow's Star Actor, which shows did the others appearing receive awards for and are they ME? From ...The Prince Of Wales Theatre.. it also had Adele Leigh appearing, not only a singer but also in 1958 acted in Davy, last Ealing Comedy made by Ealing Studios, Harry Secombe, Alexander Knox and Ron Randell. Also in 1958 appeared in Royal Variety Performance, I wonder of that is ME or exists..she was also twice on Desert Island Discs in 1965 and 1988. a little bird in the form of Peter Stirling has said in past threads that uk imdb is our friend...indeed it is. It says that Barry Took and Marty Feldman were the creators of Bootsie and Snudge...so maybe, just maybe, they received an award for that and as writers of it too! btw there are currently 4 ME of it.. www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=bootsie+and+snudge

The TV Times entry for 29 July 1962 says The Award Show (in conjunction with The Daily Mirror)
is there a chance that The Daily Mirror actually still retains a recording of this The Award Show that they were involved in..do any of the forum members feel like contacting The Daily Mirror and asking them if they have it please.. added by Simonmoreby.

thanks to Alan.
The TV Times entry actually has photographs of all the people appearing in The Award Show, but I do not know how to transfer this TV Times page onto this thread, sorry about that, if anyone knows how to do it, then please do, so we can all see it.
Besides all the above listed as appearing, the TV Times entry also says that awards would also be given to Angela Bracewell, Alex Mackintosh, Peggy Mount, Alun Owen and that particular favourite of this forum, Muriel Young, which I am sure we would all like to see what she got an award for, so let's hope that The Daily Mirror still hold a Recording of this show.
The TV Times entry also says...By arrangement with Bernard Delfont. The Pamela Devis Dancers, Jack Parnell's Orchestra, Script by Sid Green and Dick Hills. An ATV Network Production. Shown by ABC on Channels 9 and 10.
