Well, that's pretty rotten news. First I heard. RIP mate.

It's better to remember him from his Visage and club owning days than from Celebrity Scissorhands, which was frankly embarrassing.

I liked 'Fade To Grey' and hopefully we will see it again in its original context on a TOTP re-run later this year.
I don't know their albums (though I did have a greatest hits on cassette). But they had other good singles including 'Mind Of A Toy' and 'Night Train' which are rarely heard now.

I thought "Fade To Grey" "Mind Of A toy" and "Damned Don't Cry" were all great singles and really enjoyed his first album to one of my favourite artists of the 80s.

I have to say I can't hear Being Boiled by The Human League without singing "We fade to grey" at the appropriate points. The original version of Being Boiled did come first though.

Sad news.
I was never sure if Visage was ever a proper group or just a spin-off project from Ultravox.

I vividly remember this video and other videos and a performance of Steve and his group Visage on Top of the Pops.
Steve will always be remembered for his unique cultural styles in appearances and his music.
RIP Steve.
