I worked at Channel TV for a few weeks during the 1990's - one of the editors gave me Beta SP copies of the Christmas tapes that they produced as well as some random out-takes tapes, and compilation of old film transfers of Television adverts they broadcast during the 1960's & 1970's. I've got the betacam tapes next to me in my office - 12 in total!. I will have to check the tapes as a few have some b/w interviews from Bob Monkhouse while he was in Jersey (1960's if I recall).
Also on the tapes is some footage I shot on Beta SP of the production facilities/staff and a live news broadcast - all of this is from the mid-nineties.
One thing I do recall is that the Channel TV archive had copies of Upstairs, Downstairs - I wonder if they have a copy of the original B/W first episode? At the time I had no idea that this was missing and so did not check!

He does not look at thin as he does in some later Dad's Army episodes.

An interview with Roger Pilkington, author of The Omering Tide: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tD-dQAzC0oc (I'd never heard of it,but 'Jackanory' covered it.These are missing,no idea of the status of this show?).

Holiday Parade part 1 from 1966: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7tVSFkoEX0"This is 'Holiday Parade' - a rather quaint set of films that were aimed squarely at the discerning visitor to the Channel Islands. Your host is Garrick Law, and in 1966 he nosed his way around all the islands whilst exploring the delights that each had to offer. Incidentally, Channel TV inadvertently became a pioneer at this point, as Holiday Parade was the very first breakfast telly transmitted regularly on British Television. Hopefully that bit of info might come in useful during a pub quiz or if you're keen on looking nerdy in front of your mates. Anyway, let’s join Garrick as he investigates how a 1960's holidaymaker would get to the islands and then watches a surfing competition in St. Ouen".
