If by some miracle Santa found one missing episode and left it under your tree to share with the world which would you choose?
For me it would have to be Episode 1 of Power of the Daleks. It was all change from there on. Troughton must have looked mysterious and amazing!

As I said in the similar general thread a couple of days ago, I would have to go with the Faceless Ones 6 and hope for a partially animated release to follow. Web 3 would also be nice, but, at least in the sometimes faulty memory of a 51 year old, as far as the "best" single episodes still missing, I would have to go for Evil 7 or Fury 6 as I remember them both as being pretty special. And then there's the Abominable Snowmen, aaargh... It's impossible, I want them all back. Goes to sit quietly in a darkened room.

If I can't get episode 3 of The Web of Fear to complete that story, then give me episode 4 of The Tenth Planet so I can watch at least one currently missing story in its entirety.

May your fourth wall never be broken at Christmas.

Andrew,on a more serious note,I'm hopeless at choosing from options such as this. You know the picture of the donkey tethered equidistant between two batches of food, and unable to decide which way to head? Imagine that with 97 options...Remember the dithering customer in 'Open All Hours'? All right,I admit there are a few missing episodes on which I'm less keen, perhaps because, unlike Marco and The Abominable Snowmen,I didn't see them when they were first (he said optimistically) broadcast. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buridan%27s_ass (That'll give the parental-controls something to think about!).

One episode only.......... Maybe another episode from from Abominable Snowmen. Its a quality story with excellent sets. Might have changed my mind in 5 minutes

Personally, I would like any episode back from a story that is yet unrepresented in the archives; be it Hartnell or Troughton. If I had to choose: either an episode from 'Marco Polo' or 'The Massacre' for Hartnell; 'The Power of the Daleks' or 'Fury from the Deep' for Troughton.

I'm a bit late for this poll as Santa has been and gone ... but a quick dash into my TARDIS and... here I am back on Christmas Eve... I second Andrew's choice as Power was the story that changed everything - and also because I joined the Dr Who bandwagon somewhere in 1967 and would so like to see the (almost) empty shelves of Season 4 filled up - starting with that first appearance of Patrick Troughton. I've been very tolerant of the New Series's Christmas Specials (and a couple have been rather good) but I have to admit that this year's (my TARDIS is still in 2014) entry was dire.
