Hopefully we get animations but we'll probably get Tele snaps

I think they probably would have used the word 'reconstruction' if it was going to be telesnaps, rather than 'animated'.

This is terrific news, and I look forward to collecting another Troughton ep (and story) next year! Am finding the statement about it curious and interesting. Unless I've misunderstood, there is no more Classic range, right? Maybe there's a rebranding, repackaging scheme afoot, perhaps in themed assortments rather like how they are on iTunes. I think they've done a bit of that already, though I don't know how successful the approach has proven to be. It might be that there'll be more of this, with further New Series and Classic stories with some clear link or subtle theme packaged together. If that gets more people into the Classic era, then why not? Then again, maybe this is suggestive of something else/more. The two missing eps from The Crusade really do cry out for a release with similar animation, I think we'd agree. If we're lucky, perhaps a way has been found to make that happen. If so, day 1 purchase! There's another reading for the statement, far more fevered, which I don't think needs to be given voice. If Santa's real, as Last Christmas is suggesting, I think he's already got our notes about it...

"The highly anticipated DVD will include the only known existing episode that has yet to be made officially available to own, episode two (rediscovered in 2011)." So there are existing episodes that are unoficially available to own (takes tongue out of cheek)

This news has made my day! Just knowing that in 2015, I'll be able to add the Underwater Menace episode 2 to my collection!

I'm more curious about the "We delayed the release to ensure that our publishing schedule is phased appropriately across the year" comment. Pray tell what else is scheduled across the year? Other than the Christmas Special on March 23, 2015, there's nothing else to release until Series 9 - whenever that may be.
Presumably there's some other stuff in the pipeline? The only other likely targets for animation is The Crusade with 2 of 4 episodes missing and Web of Fear with 1 of 6 episodes missing. More special editions? Box sets?

Surely no secret releases are about to happen !

Let's hope that The Faceless Ones and Wheel In Space appear as stand alone releases in some form with animated linking material in the not too distant future. I know it doesn't fit the current max two episode missing rule, but who's to say this won't change in the future, I certainly want it to!
