Not my kind of music (he adds hastily) but does anyone know the origin of the Frank Ifield clip as shown on BBC4's programme on Friday night? I recognised the male presenter but who is he and what was the programme?

Actually,I don't mind Country-and the genre's diverse enough to include Gram Parsons and Boxcar Willie,Hank Williams and Dolly Parton. The BBC's holding are pretty good, though I always hope that missing shows will turn up.

Like Kev Hunter, the fellow standing next to her is a familiar face, whose name I cannot remember. Can you name this man and put my mind at rest please

Graham, I have just looked at some images of Humph on-line, there is some resemblence, but I think the chap is not Humph, but he is familiar. The BBC 4 programme from last Friday is still on iplayer, if someone else can look at the very beginning of the programme, where this is please.

classic! thanks the other John. good to here that that a quite a few Missing Episodes containing Dick Bentley on Lost Shows www.lostshows.com/default.aspx?search=dick+bentleybut this list does not contain his own show called And So To Bentley, BBC, because only the episode dates are listed under that Show title, sadly all 6 are Missing, but the regulars were Dick Bentley, Peter Sellers, Charlotte Mitchell, Herbert Mostyn, Peter Jones with a lady guest in each episode. Scripts were by Frank Muir and Denis Nordern. Episode 1 Pearl Carr. Episode 2 Alma Cogan, Episode 3 Jill Day, Episode 4 and 6 Rosemary Miller, Episode 5 Shirley Eaton. It would be great if we could locate something from the Lost Shows list and/or And So To Bentley. Perhaps Kaleidoscope could include And So To Bentley in their Lost Shows list above for Dick Bentley, if they read this please.

So he sang with Alma Cogan at times-think they had a hit with this www.youtube.com/watch?v=E6uo97Mk5Vg though this version sounds as though it's live. Is it really true that AC was (one of) the voices of Ma in 'The Glums' on radio?
