Think I'm gunna try and go to this, my third MBW event running. Interesting to see this is taking a different shape from the previous years in the sense there are two major finds being shown rather than a large collection of little pieces. Unless my memory is cheating me?

Are tickets on sale to the general public yet or just members?

Are tickets on sale to the general public yet or just members? It would seem just members as despite the web site showing on sale there is no purchase button as with shows on earlier dates.

Thanks - it was a bit ambiguous. Does anyone know when tickets go on sale to the public?

Just under 36 hours since ticket sales for BFI members opened and there are only 30 tickets left for session one. It's unlikely there will be many or even possibly any left by the time public sales open on the 11th.

For session two there are many many tickets left. with over 80 still available in the centre block. And only 7 seats sold in the two side blocks.

Looks like I won't be going then; It'll be the first one I've missed in I don't know how many years, which is very annoying. Non-members don't really stand a fair chance of getting a ticket!

Thanks for the heads up, completely forgot! Still a few available and my Dad was able to get my two. Slightly less of a rush for the other one as there's a ton of tickets left!

I wonder if there was a rush of people signing up as members when the news of the recovery was seen. I must admit I was tempted to join again (my membership lapsed when I was on shift work and couldn't manage many events) but didn't.

I rejoined (my membership lapsed for the same reason but now I'm on a better pattern), in order to pretty much guarantee I could get tickets to this, as I am unable to get to Stourbridge for Kaleidoscope the day before and I couldn't miss both!

I'm told by a member that, as of today, tickets for the first MBW session (1948 Show) are now completely sold out so anyone going along to the BFI box office on Tuesday won't be able to get a ticket. Just letting people know so they won't have a wasted journey. Very annoying though that they couldn't put a small portion of tickets aside for non-member sales so that the general public would stand some sort of fighting chance of going along, particularly those who've loyally supported MBW over a number of years.

I could imagine Arthur Haynes turning up with his campaign medals pinned to his chest."Look mate,10 ruddy years I've been searching for missing episodes.I was on fire-watching duties when Web and Enemy were announced."Be like mum and keep you mouth shut about African finds".I was there mate! And you tell me there are no tickets left?". Dermot Kelly adds: "That's right, that is.That's not wrong".
