The half human thing. You expected it and yet you still opened the thread. No argument or explanation theory wanted. I just want to know why we believe it when the movie never directly said it.
Hear me out:
Two times the half human thing was ever brought up in the movie.
The first time the Dr wanted to tell Grace something important (a secret) and for some reason she told the professor guy that the DR had a secret. Rather than give the secret the DR. gave a smart ass answer. They were laughing about it afterwards.
The second time the Master said it. The simple answer to that is that the Master is a dumbass and was simply wrong. The master said a lot of things over the last 50 years and not everything he said was true. Just because the master said it does that make it automatically canon? I personally think that in the movie when he was looking at the construction of the human eye it wasnt the doctors eye he was looking at. The Dr pulled away from kissing Grace right away and I think that the master was looking at Grace's eye.
Doesn't matter...the movie never said. It was a joke and then a comment by an idiot.

Not wanting to appear rude Shawn but this type of question should be asked on a general Doctor Who forum. This one is specifically designed to talk about issues or items relating to those episodes that are missing. This is not about missing Doctor Who episodes or even missing footage from the movie.

And I managed to read the bit about "you still opened the thread" without opening the thread.(You just run the cursor over the title).
I've only seen The Movie once; should really watch it again...I remember the excitement when Tesco got the videos in!

That is fine delete the thread. I posted here because this area has always seemed more like it was about the classic era with lost episodes tossed in once in a while rather than an area designated to only the lost episodes.

It never did until it was recently overun by all the newbies. Though how the recent Canadian movie is "classic" I don't ...

I personally have no problen with you asking the question, however the group here tends to be most knowledgeable about 60s ( and perhaps 70s Who). perhaps gallifrey base, might be able to answer your question better.
I personally view the movie as in Between old and nu who, but I respect every ones opinion.

I know way more about 60's who because that is where my interest is, which is why I joined this forum But good luck finding an answer.

Basically re reading your question, I think you are saying that you do not believe the dr to be half human as some might Interpret fRom a line in the paul mcgann movie
while the origin of the dr is a mystery from the first episode, he is said to be from another world. As, it progresses, he is explained to be a time lord from gallifrey.
While nothing was said about the drs dna mix,he was never explained as half human and I tend to view the 90s movie as canonicly accurate as the 1960s Peter cushing movies. The movie appears, to have Been accepted because of the mccoy cameo, the bf audio line, the fans of mcgann, and also the inclusion of it in the modern who time line athough to me it is an Americanized who and sadly an influence in the direction of modern who.
Perhaps the writers implied it because they felt viewers would relate better to the dr as being part human or that it could justify human romance, or perhaps they felt it would be fun to do
However Iike you, I believe it was not described in the classic who era, so it hasn't been accepted on my radar screen and perhaps most here.
I hope this helps you. Others here and elsewhere may have more educated answers on the topic

The Doctor might have been lying about the 'half human' thing to maybe confuse the Master?
It's the only part of the movie that I can't take seriously... The Doctor is 100% Time Lord!
