Read the article carefully it says 106 missing. Already inconsistent.

Almost certainly nothing to get in a twist over - the same article was apparently carried in the North Wales Chronicle, or similar, a few days ago. Over on GB the consensus is that it's the cinema owner trying (not unsuccessfully!) to drum up some publicity.

Also doesn't mention that Episode 2 exists in the archives. "The Yetis appeared in a six-part adventure... ...Five of the episodes The Abominable Snowmen are among 106 [sic] episodes of Doctor Who missing from the archives." Although it doesn't state Episode Two is the missing instalment, it clearly says that one episode is accounted for. I was more pointing out the inconsistency in the article as it stated: "All that remains are two short clips, off-screen telesnaps and a reel-to-reel tape recording of the soundtrack, made by a viewer in 1967." Which, given the language used, make it seem like that's all there is for the story. (or that's how I interpreted it)

Late to the party as usual - it seems that the article has been edited, 'cause now it says "Five of the episodes The Abominable Snowmen are among 97 episodes of Doctor Who missing from the archives." lol

It's currently silly season in the press! I'm offering free tickets to any twelfth-regeneration Timelord provided he's accompanied by his parents and grand-parents.

Until something at least semi-official comes out, I would be suspicious of anything like this because this would be a great way to rip people off.

I think the part some have misread is:
"Actors who starred as Yetis in the 1967 series The Abominable Snowmen are being offered free tickets to a live screening of the new series."

My thoughts exactly - at no point is there any indication of the finding of lost episodes, its just a historical piece...
