If you'd not have got that there first, then it would have been me - I love the Bonzos! So, what's your second favourite? I work in a charity shop and I've not seen a single trouser press donated... I'm in tomorrow and knowing my luck that will change. Oddly, for the first time I saw a Laserdisc in another yesterday (the 1981 film 'Taps'.) If they had the player with it, for £6.99 I might have been tempted!

I saw a huge batch of laserdiscs a few years ago-God they're heavy! Isn't there a Bonzo song about not leaving your records out in the sun? Now,there's a 'buyer beware' when it comes to second-hand goods! Second favourite song about trouser-presses www.lyricsfreak.com/e/ella+fitzgerald/a+fine+romance_20045657.html There's an obvious homage in the last verse.

I remember Number 73 featured a song about trouser presses.

Seriously? It's the sort of thing they would do.
I check out dozens of charity shops a day.99% of them have gone posh, with no hardback sans dust-jackets,no videos, everything looking as though it's just been bought at Tesco's and the purchaser immediately had second thoughts...

That had me searching for what 'mussed' means - I thought it was a spelling mistake at first... www.thefreedictionary.com/mussedIt must have been over 5 years ago that I saw a pile of laserdiscs outside a shop that had tons of unwanted VHS tapes they couldn't get rid of - they sold mostly secondhand vinyl records. And that would mean I've only ever seen these twice, in my lifetime. I can't think of a Bonzo song as you describe - I've got all their albums and the first Rutles LP as well. It might be a solo record (sounds likely to be Viv Stanshall - I know who would know this, I'll get onto that ASAP - I need to know!) You can't be thinking of Recycled Vinyl Blues - different subject entirely.

Gad.I've only heard the song once. There's a very mangled sounding song about how,if you leave your records out in the sun, they'll get warped and sound mangled.Always thought it was a Bonzo.I must do a search. My son made a pre-emptive strike into a stockroom yesterday and we managed to persuade the till-minder to allow us to buy the pre-recorded videos we found there, though she wasn't very happy. There are lots of Rosie and Jim,Tots-TV,Rainbow,etc. titles which haven't been released on DVD. Added: John Hartford www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMI5wR2P9jQ I prefer the album track/single.

Certainly shows that used a lot of music have been edited a lot for the DVDs. Daria is one example, aloing with the Wonder Years. Im sure l had a UK recording of The Wonder Years last year that I threw out as I thought it was in the archive.

Remember that 'The Wonder Years' is now out unedited.

I just found that came up after a Google search; interesting because this is the first I've heard of him and may now investigate him a little further.
