Yeah got booted a few weeks back on pressed DVD although the PAL transfer hasn't shown up yet unlike the other one from 1969 that surfaced at the same time

Fantastock (see what i did there?) My 15 year old self was at that gig. Sounds every bit as good as I remember it (which is rarely the case) But "grab" it while you can folks 'cos I bet it won't be up for long. See other Floyd material passim (except you can't half the time.)

Perhaps with better conditions/better equipment a better transfer might be achieved but who knows. I just looked on youtube and the rest of it is on there too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dvAvfrqXfwwww.youtube.com/watch?v=4tGcRZMx1Xk

That is the only transfer and the owner apparently has no intention of doing another, apparently it was done in 2006 but crucially the tapes were not baked before transfer

Striking how the orchestra and choir were so ordinary looking, in comparison to the band and the audience.
A piece of film that "takes you there".

This footage was paid for by Hoppy, though he still has the tape but isn't bothered about getting a decent transfer done of it. (According to someone whom has been in contact with him)

What a shame. He's kept it all this time but unconcerned about the posterity! It makes you wonder what else he has tucked away rotting though?! Give it to a body that cares about these things if he's not himself.

I don't think it's a case of not caring, more that he has so much uncatalogued material he doesn't know where to start, or how to pay for it ! To quote his own website, "A full catalogue of this unique video archive awaits the resources to relubricate and transfer 100's of original tapes. Let us know if you have any ideas on this !!" (from hoppyx.com - enter the site and then click 'video' on the left side menu) One for the BFI maybe ?

I didn't know he had a website and was just going on what was said earlier about him not being bothered to do a proper transfer! That's potentially encouraging then. I wonder what other material he holds?

It's been pulled down already :.( Of course it has! I'm only surprised it was up for so long. Oh, and lay off Hoppy good people. If it hadn't been for the creative endeavours of him and half of a dozen of his mates you wouldn't even have a psychedelic sixties to talk about. An individual not having the time and resources to transfer material that they were enterprising enough to shoot in the first place is not a crime - national broadcasting institutions that we pay for through the licence fee on the other hand.................

Hoppy rocks. Without him, John Dunbar, Peter Asher & Barry Miles, the Underground scene in late 60's London would never have happened. I've never met him, but got so much respect for him.
