I'm using an excellent pop-up killer (it's part of Safari for Mac OSX) and this is the only site that detects I'm using it and sends me a message (as a Pop-up!!!) asking me to turn it off. That's not very nice! I'll live with it but I wish I didn't have to.

Colours etc are much better now. New locale is very nice, airy and spacious. Keep it up, chaps.

If you're using Internet Explorer, you can stop the pop-ups by going into Tools / Internet Options / Security and adding missingepisodes.proboards20.com to the Restricted Sites list. This disables Javascript on this site, so no pop-ups... Steve

Hmm, I've tried registering, but it doesn't seem to like my name! Oh well, as guest posting is allowed, that shouldn't be too much of a problem, but can anyone suggest where I'm going wrong? I had the same problem - you've probably added the site to your list of "restricted" ones in Internet Explorer. It stops the java working, so plays havoc with the login stuff on the board. Just unrestrict it and it should play happily (works fine for me now).

Which colours do you suggest? The Aquafresh look was a quick fix alternative to the black text on a black background that we had for the first 6 hours. A lighter cyan perhaps? i.e. so light you can hardly TELL it's cyan? Full-on cyan is giving me a headache, I'm afraid. Nice to see a change of forum style though.

Ok do I disable Java to kill the pop-ups or enable it so I can register?

Ok do I disable Java to kill the pop-ups or enable it so I can register? Err on the side of caution and do both. JavaScript, interestingly enough, has nothing whatsoever to do with Java.

Hi Mark,
Is there any chance of us having an extra message board for O/T stuff?
I don't know what everyone else thinks, but it's handy every now and then to be able to put questions that are not strictly 'missing episodes' related to the multitude of of well informed people that frequent this forum and who also have large libraries of very good reference material :-)
It saves cluttering up the main missing episodes page. I would ask what others think, but don't want to create any more clutter than I have to.
Cheers Tim

It was March if that helps lol, dunno what year it was, a few i`d imagine. Thanks, Mark Brown and David Buck for the Missing Episodes forum invention date. It helps a lot, as it's a reminder of when the whole thing started and is very worthwhile to know for record purposes. I'm fascinated by these cool acronyms, some of which have me in stitches. Here are a few I've come across ;D:- Starting off with LOL (laughing out loud), LMHO (Laughing my head off), LSHMBB (Laughing so hard my belly is bouncing): They get crazier by the minute!; For us romantics, LUWAMH (Love you with all my heart) Aaaaargh; LDTTWA (Let's do the Time Warp again): I didn't know there was a Rocky Horror acronym! Cool; AFAIK (As far as I know), and many, many more. Aside from acronyms, welcome on board, Paul Vanezis as the latest recruit to the moderators.
