How new is new anyway. Some people may be referring to this 90 episode cache as new because its new to us. We know how the BBC likes to twist its words, so maybe "no new material" for example, means material from 2011 is not considered new to them. I'm probably just reading too much into it, but something is definitely fishy. I agree the entire incident has been far too ambiguous and contradictory for me to accept the official explanation. However those who know the full story will be silent from here on in.

Given he works on oil rigs in and off the coast of Africa should anyone be surprised that he has been back there !!!! You know I have taken a lot of flak, a lot of grief, been called a troll but I have been proven to be right on this one. Oh I think you have certainly been proven right on this one and I myself never really doubted that this rumour would come to nothing. However I'm left wondering if something more has gone on behind the scenes which we... are not privy too. I think this whole rumour will be quickly forgotten about now except for fan speculation which might continue a while longer.

O well,it got us all back in the playground of our youth, making up stories and running around chasing after fictitious spies and Daleks when Dr.Who was still Jon Pertwee and the show was at the height of it's popularity...well that's how I feel after this recent debacle!Maybe that was the real point of this hoax-we were all 8 years old again, innocent and willing to believe the impossible. Can you think of any better way to celebrate the 50th-a pop psycho drama played out in our heads? For 24 hours I,for one was completely taken over-internet,tweets,lack of sleep. It's almost like a fever has broken...

Also this hasn't been satisfactorily cleared up yet to quote Ian Levine's tweet: "proof is from 2011.But he's been back TEN TIMES since then and found more stuff" What the heck is all that about? I SENSE A COVER UP! It is over, sir. Time to move on.

I always got the impression they started out as a general telefantasy group, and in fact did produce a A5-size listing of that type of programme very early on. I think it post-dated Time Screen's first such BBC Archive guide, but contained ITV/C4 programmes, as well.

Okay so what exactly was this 'three tons of evidence' dating back to 2011? From the Facebook article I have also become aware of the tracking of some of our clients shipments these are local cultural materials sent to us for migration to a modern format as the playback equipment in the country of origin no longer exists and as such is the best road to preserve international cultural heritage .
So cultural materials have been mistaken as missing Doctor Who episodes? However to confuse the matter even further two episodes of 'The Sky at Night' have actually been recovered by missing episode hunter Phillip Morris? I sense a cover up!

I only remember the '99, '04 and '11 discoveries.
However I remember also believing the April Fools hoax posted on here last year (or year before) concerning the Celestial Toymaker. I jumped out of my skin with excitement until I realised what the date was!

He sounds disgruntled, and I don't blame him.
Shame the TIE Archives thread was closed.

Can normal service now be resumed? Or are the true fans those who doubt even this clear statement, from somebody whom we ought to take at his word? PM would be as thrilled as Indiana Jones to turn up an extra nine minutes, let alone ninety eps, of any missing material - Doctor Who or otherwise. But, as reasonable and experienced people have already made plain, there was no reason to suppose he'd found any aside from what he'd already mentioned online. Crates of film are his stock in trade, as was well known. Believing hearsay or loud proclamations on Twitter are not proof of anything, except a lack of good judgement. All this carry on is doing is slowing down people from doing their job. Hopefully the circus will now cease and they can get back to it.

When Phil says: "ODD FRAGMENTS HAVE SURFACED TWO EPISODES ON 16MM FILM BUT THATS IT" is that referring to The Sky At Night or Doctor Who? And why is he talking about not missing but destroyed. He seems a bit flustered.
