I don't think you're going to be seeing that one again - ever!

Pity. It illustrated really well what fandom of the time was like. And I don't mean that in a mocking way. The way we believed a lot of those rumorus and reports to be 100% legit. Well, some of us anyway.

It's not a RT documentary is it?!
The one that they said they would never do...

There is one very substantial extra for this story that hasn't been included in full before - it could be that..!

Yes, but it'll never appear on a Doctor Who DVD.

Probably a good thing, its a bit condescending about Doctor Who fans.
Also whoever put it together can't even get their facts right, the scene they showed dubbed in Arabic was from Dalek Invasion but they tagged it as the Edge of Destruction.

Yes; I was never so keen on that documentary. As said previously, it can be a bit condescending. It also feels like it lacks accuracy due to the fact that it concentrates on shocking the audience with the 'espionage' of episode hunting, including the classic men in trilbys and trenchcoats acting suspiciously in a phonebox. Richard.

That was one of the mini-docs/items before one of the 'Planet of the Daleks episodes.
Some of the studio material was requested for this story, The scene with the Brig saying 'Oh that line' for example.

A (cleaned up?) copy of the uninterrupted studio reel, perhaps?

If it was used, it wouldn't need to be cleaned up as it's the original 2" PAL master tape.

Axos SE extras passed through the bbfc or at least some of them:
00:26:58:04 DOCTOR WHO – THE VAMPIRE FROM SPACE – EPISODE ONE 00:10:08:11 REVERSE STANDARDS CONVERSION – THE AXON LEGACY 00:26:38:17 AXON STATIONS! – MAKING THE CLAWS OF AXOS 01:12:50:00 DOCTOR WHO – THE VAMPIRE FROM SPACE – EPISODE ONE 00:35:08:17 LIVING WITH LEVENE 00:14:43:04 DIRECTING WHO – MICHAEL FERGUSON ON THE CLAWS OF AXOS . DOCTOR WHO – THE VAMPIRE FROM SPACE – EPISODE ONE, anyone know why this extra is listed twice on the new release?

I'm guessing one is a featurette on the late name change, & the other a title sequence with the original name.

One is the complete studio reel, the other is the edited version with optional production subtitles that appeared on the original 2005 release.
