I am definitely going to be ordering my copy soon. Is worth it just alone for the two "Top Of the Pops" performances, and the unseen Beat Club materials mentioned!!
The above clip was used in the original series of Sounds Of The Seventies. So it has been seen somewhere. This version seems to be a lot longer at the end though. Very nice clip!

I posted about the 'Electric Warrior' boxset back in February but I guess many didn't see it in the other forum http://missingepisodes.proboards.com/ind....lay&thread=6875 Martin, if you're reading this a few questions if you'd care to answer. 1) Why were none of the Hits A GoGo performances on this DVD? I know 'Mambo Sun' contains credits but it would have been a great addition on this DVD as well as 'Jeepster' and 'Hot Love' also from Hits A GoGo. None of these performances have been issued on DVD. 2) Was 'Life's A Gas' with Cilla Black left off just because it was a later 1973 version? 3) Are we likely to get a similar box for 'The Slider'. Despite my criticism regarding Hits A GoGo and Cilla, the 'Electric Warrior' box is a delight and I just wish the forthcoming remaster of 'Ziggy Stardust' was getting the same treatment.

Mike - thanks for the positive comments. 1: it was impossible to license despite numerous attempts 2: yes, it's way out of period, and also because it's rather a challenging performance 3. Quite possibly!

Martin, thanks for answering my questions. What a shame the Hits A GoGo footage was impossible to license, but I'm glad it wasn't simply overlooked. Not sure about Cilla and Marc's 'Life's A Gas' being a challenging performance though, that's my favourite rendition of it ever! I was also disappointed it didn't make the latest 'Completely Cilla' CD/DVD collection. Great news that 'The Slider' might get the same treatment though.
" Rare video recording from 1962, believed filmed in Nashville for TV. Willie Nelson sings 'Hello Walls', 'Funny How Time Slips Away', 'Night Light', and 'Crazy'. "
The Original 5 Man group, Journey, performing the track " Topaz " from 1974. Fresh on the scene Live at Winterland Ballroom Arena in S.F. ( No doubt from the Billy Graham Archives ) ( Looks like 1/2in VT to me here, amazing performance, just left wishing had kept this direction, oh well.. )
" These samples were shot with a Sony 1/2" open reel handheld video camera. Just when you thought everything has been discovered! You'd be surprised how many private video shoots are still floating around out there. There should be concern over the lifespan of these precious documents, they won't last forever! You can see clear signs of degredation on these clips. Unfortunately only 15 minutes exist of this show on video. "
" The Blue Nile 'Flags and Fences' by Bernard Rudden is a unique look at the band and the inner workings and relationships of one of the worlds most creative yet Enigmatic Music Trio's on their American Tour. From all parts of the US this is an insight filmed in 8 and 16mm, giving a real sense and atmosphere of the songs ,places and faces. The audio on the film has not had any treatment just a straight forward line out from the mixing desk showing how passionate and emotional yet really tight musically that The Blue Nile are..! and are a true live band in every sense. Bernard Rudden Directs Beautifully Capturing the Atmospheres of the Live Shows to the Streets of the US and the Iconic Places from the Empire State Building and The WTC to Sublime Movement of The Cars,People and TheTrains go by.! There are some charmingly funny moments in this documentary that give warmth and leave you with an understanding that The Blue Nile are in no way self indulgent, Simply Honest..! " This is a very young Eric Burton and the Animals doing a cover of the Isley Brothers Shout which was also a hit for Lulu in the 1960's. This clip is from a Granada TV show called 'Don't Knock The Rock'. "
" This is Little Richard performing his hit Rip It Up on the Granada TV (UK) show 'Don't knock the rock'. Here he is backed by the 60's band Sounds Incorporated. Other memorable performances include Gene Vincent, Jerry Lee Lewis and The Animals "
AUDIO: " A rare, unreleased appearance by Queen performing "Keep Yourself Alive". Captured live in London at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1976, on tour in support of "A Night At The Opera". "
AUDIO: " A rare, unreleased appearance by Electric Light Orchestra performing "Showdown". Captured live at the Guildhall Theatre in Portsmouth, England on tour in support of their "Face The Music" album in 1976. " ( Amazing Performance!! )
Can see the " Nantucket Sleighride " album cover used for the background here, classic album! ( Blood On The Sun has to be one of my favorites from Mountain by the way ! )
" Very cool looking Mick Tucker in this never broadcasted show. performing Sixties man with Sweet. 1980 " ( Believe John Henshall displayed his own recorded pilot episode for GALAXY at KAL just this year, still chomping at the bit to see that, one day quite possibly ) ( Personally the visuals were great, guessing comes down to rights issues here?? )
A classic Track and Group. Had to upload this LONG Version, just wishing there was some video to accompany this material here. Enjoy Time Has Come Today(Chambers Brothers-Long Version)with no cuts to song
http://youtu.be/g8axt8Q_oFc " The Swinging Blue Jeans perform The Hippy Hippy Shake in a mocked-up session recording for the cameras. This was almost certainly made in Spring 1964, just after the Blue Jeans actually taped their version of the 1959 hit song.
The scene appears to have been filmed inside Studio Three, with engineering legend Norman Smith at the recording desk. Smith, of course, powered a great many of the Beatles' recording sessions.
The clip also shows us a rare colour glimpse of the Ready Steady Go television studio. ( IN COLOUR!!!!! )
Many know about this missing-lost audio rediscovery of mine earlier this year. This is the first official posting on ME, know many will be as excited as I upon first hearing-seeing this material.

Hello Again Everyone!!!
Have a few other fantastic clips to look over. The top highlight has to be a performance by John Kongos on French TV show " Pop Match "( 1971 ). Fantastic, as until now had not seen any footage of Mr. Kongos performing!! Quite a rare recording here, knowing many will enjoy in-particular here.
" John Kongos - He's Gonna Step On You Again " ( Pop Match,1971 )
" INTRUDERS - COWBOYS TO GIRLS - 1968 " " Rare TV Appearance! This was from a promotional Reel to Reel BETA tape I found in a television station I worked at in the mid 1990's. It was only marked "For Local Affiliates - From your Friends at the Club Vegas"

Very pleased to see the John Kongos clip existing as I recall the TOTP performance of the song (although this one looks quite different visually). An underrated number. I think there's a colour clip of him doing Tokoloshe Man in an ITV show from '71, Alan (can't recall the title), although I haven't seen it myself as yet.
