 The Reign of Terror
« Thread Started on Jul 1, 2012, 8:34pm »

I'm aware this is slightly off-topic, just wondering how everyone feels about animating missing episodes! Especially seeing as the 'Classic Doctor Who' Twitter account has released these 2 pictures over the weekend;

It think it's a wonderful idea. I thoroughly enjoyed The Invasion DVD and I'm buying The Reign Of Terror as soon as it comes out. I would also love to, most of all, see The Tenth Planet and The Ice Warriors animated as these are still to be released but we'll have to wait and see.

I was also wondering where I could find the official animated trailer that was made for Power Of The Daleks as they were planning on animating this story, I believe. It was mentioned in The Dalek Handbook but was wondering if anyone knows any more.

Since I never got a chance to see the episodes before they were thrown away, I am all for animation. Recons only go so far. I enjoyed The Invasion. I am looking forward to The Reign of Terror, and any other animations of lost episodes after that.

It's wonderful - gives us hope for all the others as we have the soundtracks for everything. I do wonder if they could be animated in colour for serials that have no complete episodes.. easy to make b/w for the purists, and more appealing for a wider (and new) audience.

It would probably be too expensive. The smallest missing story that has the Doctor in it is 4 episodes long. I would be stunned to see them animate a story missing that many episodes at this time, even if it was in black and white.

+1 for animating the missing episodes from me.

I bought the Invasion back in 2006 and was sorely dissapointed when it later came that 2Entertain had no further plans to animate missing episodes (from the three other partially survivng stories.)

So with The Reign of Terror and the rumours about Ice Warriors this is awsome news.

Hopefully Tenth Planet will follow, with only 1 missing episode this would be the easiest to animate.

REgarding a whole missing story, I would love to see it but the high cost I imagine would put the BBc off.
