Of course,if the description is "A dramatization over 7 parts of life in early Yuan Dynasty China",they might stay away in their droves...

Excellent.
How about
A four part semi- educational production depicting the 16th Century European Wars of Religion.

Yes! It would be part of 'Who' tradition, avoiding references to Dinosaurs or Cybermen in titles,or to the Master in cast lists. Assuming there is anything to hide of,course.Sometimes a cul-de-sac,is a dead-end,and there's nothing at the end of the lane.
Speaking of the Huguenots, has anyone ever compiled a list of the most-visited eras/countries for time-travellers? I think Who and Time Tunnel did the Titanic, and WWII's always popular,cavemen...Not usually the French Wars of Religion though.

The French Revolution & The Wild West are also popular from memory, often when costumes from historical dramas can be reused.

It's most likely that the most visited era by time travellers is "the present", ie. having people from another era visit whatever the date is when the television episode or film is produced.

As did the US series Voyagers, in the aptly named episode 'Voyagers On The Titanic'.

Well the American Civil War, English Civil War, Scottish Uprising of 1746, Napoleonic Wars and Boer War all have been part of the War Games, but still missing is the American Revolution, and the Russian Revolution.

Ah ha.But wasn't the American War of Independence/Mutiny covered in (I think) the pilot Peter Cushing radio story? There was a thread on this,I think. Was it in the latest 'Nothing at the End of the Lane'? The Red Menace might still be too topical.

Sooner or later, every regular time traveler ends up in Dallas, November 22, 1963.

Red Dwarf still is the best for this senario kudos to Saxon for Dallas 1PM. I still think The War of 1812 and the American Civil War neeed to be explored in the future....
