Isn't Vengeance on Varos Special Edition the September release?

And the Shada / More Than 30 Years in the TARDIS box set will probably be October, or November. There's no 'classic' release in December, so that leaves one more to be named for 2012.

The last time anything was said, 'Varos' was September and 'Shada/30 Years' and 'Reign' were expected to be the remaining two releases for this year. 'Zygons', along with 'Tenth Planet', 'Ice Warriors', 'Ambassadors' and MoE are all presumably on next year's schedule.

Excellent.
Zygons with a CGI option for the Skarasen
Ambassadors and Mind of Evil in full colour
Tenth Planet with an animated final episode
The Ice Warriors with the two missing episodes reinserted.

Should be a great 50th year!

Do you mean animated, or do you know something that the rest of us don't? (And I don't even think it's guaranteed that they will animated them, although I certainly think they should)...

I would think the latter given that Zygons isn't getting any CGI.

Well, hopefully animation will hold us ~ it's still better than nothing....

Is it absolutely certain now that BBC/2Entertain will NOT be using Ian Levine's 'Shada' animation on the 'Legacy' DVD set? It seems a shame. I'm sure it wouldn't have been too difficult to sort out the relevant paperwork. Pity.

Yes, absolutely certain. And I don't think paperwork had anything to do with it.

So what IS the reason they are passing on Ian's SHADA? (Which let's be real, it was nothing more than a spec project anyway/)

I agree that the reconstruction team should know what happened.
Even if they cant give an exact reason on this specific case they could maybe give some what ifs or potential road blocks that projects have to over come.

I've absolutely no idea why it was turned down - and no, there's no reason for the RT to know the reason why. That decision rests with Dan Hall as the executive producer of the range and the people he reports to.

I don't particularly mind whether the animation is included; it's Dan Hall's choice. What I hope is included is the 8mm location film from Shada as I don't think it's been released in its entirety (although a clip is on YouTube, does anyone know when it was released). I would also quite like to see the 8mm film from Robot on a DVD, possibly Terror Of The Zygons.

Also, on the topic of 8mm film, have the Frazer Hines' Abominable Snowmen footage, the 9 seconds of The Daemons footage, the Leisure Hive footage and Full Circle footage ever been released on DVD?

Wasn't there plans to make another animated version of Shada? Two different versions competing for sales might not be an economically feasible plan.

Your guess is as good as anyone's: without seeing it we can't make any judgments about the quality of the animation, but the screencaps are, erm variable, and I can't say I'm comfortable with the idea of somebody other than Tom voicing the fourth Doctor.
