Ahh, The Beat... They sound as fresh, punchy and evergreen on CD as they did 30+ years ago on the cheapo Universal comp. So will get at least the first set. Thanks Sal.

I already bought a few Beat comps, but these new CDs do include a bunch of songs that weren't released on CD yet, so I'll probably get all three of them, also for the bonus DVDs. I'm always amazed how labels like Demon are treating these reissues compared with what the majors are usually giving us. Demon includes more bonus tracks, the CDs sound better and last but not least are mostly sold cheaper.

Will the DVDs be in the original broadcast format PAL 720x576 or will they be released in the inferior NTSC 720x480 format meaning they have been un-necessarily re-rendered like the Yazoo & OMD DVDs?

The US label is only releasing a 5-CD box set so you would imagine that it'll be left as PAL as it's a UK only release. Instead there's a US only DVD of The Beat performing at the US Festival 1983.
