 Late 70's Beta music tapes
« Thread Started on Apr 28, 2012, 10:15pm »

Called in at my local independent record shop today and chatting to the owner who I've known for 25 years plus and discussing the dvd's in the store and he told me he has around 200 Betamax tapes that he recorded from the 77 - 81 period and is not sure what to do with them - He started to transfer them to VHS about ten years ago but with work pressures gave up in the early stages.

Since then they have been in storage(sealed securely and dry) in his stock unit in a mill for the past ten years.

Content wise he recall's that the large majority of the recordings are rock/punk concerts, So it goes, local tv music specials.

Most of the tapes are labelled he tells me

What would be the best course of action to check if there is missing material ?

Can someone let me know if the tapes are of interest

(Manchester area)

My first thoughts are that he/you should get in touch with Kaleidoscope!
