Just came across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsC0T0pKwfw I know there's a lot of discussion about the BBC music archive but what gems do ITV and regions hold that's worth seeing again. Couldn't they also put together a show of music clips from their archives?

I think it would be far better if certain 'complainers' aimed their abuse at ITV who have never shown their archive music material to the same extent the BBC has.

I agree too... we're always going on about the BBC but what have ITV done with their pop archives? There's tons of it just sitting there doing absolutely nothing and given the current state of British TV, I sadly think it's all doomed to stay there save for brief clips in documentaries with talking heads gabbling on top...

I said this a while back.
ITN Source have a sh#tload of stuff. If I could get a good contact at ITV, I would definitely approach him/her. And as the enfant terrible of the Missing Episodes Forum, THAT'S A HINT!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've still got a show on tape of music performances from Granada's archives, no complete performances but still plenty of good clips.

There used to be a fairly decent satellite channel called "Granada Plus" which used to show music related programmes such as "Supersonic" & "The Kenny Everett Video Show".
This channel subsequently ceased and became what is now known as ITV4.
I suppose the ITV network is so fragmented and has changed hands so often over the years it would be a massive challenge to identify where all their existing music related material is stored.

I'd like to see shows like Revolver with Peter Cook and I remember Off The Record which was a live concert programme from around 1982.

As much as I love The Professionals and The Sweeney I would love to see some of the ITV music archive being repeated on ITV4.
I buy Record Collector magazine every month and notice that most months in their back page section they usually mention some ITV music performance that still exists in the archive but that hasn't been shown since the 70's/80's. Would be great to see some of them.
I loved the Supersonic repeats on Granada Plus but sadly I didnt manage to record many of them on VHS, surely digging those episodes out again on a weekly basis a la TOTP76/77 wouldn't be hard to do and give more exposure to ITV4 in the way BBC4 has had over the past year.
One can only hope.

This was screened by VH-1 (I think) in the late 90's or early 2000's. I taped the episode with Siouxsie and the Banshees on it.
