So after a deluge of requests (well, one), I've dug out the list of clips that were used in the series of "Pop Quiz" in 1994. This was the series presented by Chris Tarrant, and no, I have no idea why Chris presented it and not Mike; possibly because Chris was far more popular than Mike by this time.
I've started a new thread so as not to get confused with the original series.
I'll post the episodes in batches on this thread but I can't add images as I have no recordings of the series. The contestants are all named in the "specialist round" - this was so-called as the production team knew the contestant knew about that band!
Those in the know will notice alot of 1 inch tape numbers; this was the early days of the BBC transferring tapes to digital formats, so I had to transfer alot of clips myself to digi-beta (er... actually it might still have been Beta SP).
You'll notice the transmission order was different from the recording order, a usual production issue, but here they are in transmission order.
So programme 1:

Also remember I had to re-edit the "Love in an Elevator" vid to make it acceptable to early Saturday evening... and it was alot of re-editing.

Play-out - Kinks - not written this down I think this was "You Really Got Me" from Beat Room 5/10/64
Personal note - "Mary Had a Little Lamb" I believe this is the only studio performance of this song ever done. There'd be a lot more good pop stuff if only the Beeb hadn't junked all the old Basil Brushes (rather like old Blue Peter's) - precious little left from Mr.Derek's time from when I was growing up...
