I've just finished updating the supersonic episode guide with all the 'new' research i've collated over the last year. It still appears that two editions are missing though. (although I'm amazed there's only two) ***Show 8 (23rd October 1975) ***Show 11 (13th November 1975) 23rd Oct 75 Edition is Missing from the Granada TV Archive. It may survive at the BFI. There are no details at all i can find for 13/11/75. Can anyone fill in some details for this one. Perhaps with TV times listings? There are a few more gaps in performances i'd like to fill aswell Have a look here homepage.ntlworld.com/e.watkins/musictv/Supersonic.htm

Paul - couple of corrections for you. Show 15 (25th December 1976) CHRISTMAS SHOW 1976 (40 minutes) ** Marc Bolan - New York City - this was tx. The other two T.Rex tracks, The Soul Of My Suit and I Love To Boogie, were never broadcast although they survive. The show's finale was a rendition of We Wish You A Merry Christmas, which included Gary Glitter, T.Rex, Russell Harty, Joanna Lumley, Guys and Dolls etc.
Show 28 (2nd April 1977) **
Marc Bolan & Dave Edmunds - Sweet Little Rock'n'Roller - this was actually the show's finale which was performed by Marc, Dave E, Alvin Stardust, Dave Davis, Gloria Jones, Elkie Brooks etc.

The second track from Pilot on the 24/1/76 edition was called 'Just A Smile' www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aKjHkbGFdk. The correct title for the Be Bop Deluxe track on the same show is 'Ships In The Night'. What a band they were ! www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT1HAo53224By the way, thanks for compiling such an extensive list. Supersonic was one of only 2 UK shows who would let the Rubettes perform 'Under One Roof'. (The other was Pop At The Mill) The band were actually booked for TOTP, then dropped when the subject matter of the song came to light. Radio One dropped it from the playlist as well.

I love reading episode guides, particularly with the pop shows. So this one is welcomed too. Can anyone post some more on here? I really liked seeing Lift Off. I never get tired of this type of thing and don't have access to much. So it's very useful to me.

Thanks Chris 7.11.75 (atv) appears to be 30th October 1975 (granada listing) but the 14.11.75 (atv) appears to be the 13th Nov 75 (granada listing) which is the one i'm missing info for. Cheers
the 'Show 8 (23rd October 1975)' is missing from the Granada Archive but appears to reside in the BFI archive.
One question (if anyone can answer). In the BFI database, if an entry is on the database (e.g Show 8 Supersonic) does that mean that the BFI have a copy?

I'm maybe not the first person to moan about the fact but the B.F.I. database isn't a list of what they have in their archive, Paul. I found out the hard way myself after getting excited about their listings. All it is is an index of some programmes that were made. It's a confusing resource.

The correct title for the second Sensational Alex Harvey Band song on Show 14 (4th December 1975,) is 'Gamblin' Bar Room Blues.'
