I haven't itemised the contents by name but The Tremeloes performed Blue Suede Tie. I can't recall the Christie track offhand (I expect someone here can) but it wasn't one of their hits. John Pantry was the other performing act. There was a clip from a Barbara Streisand film (song clip) featured in the show too.

Oh yes, I remember it; 'On A Clear Day You Can See Forever' with Babs & Yves Montand. I must admit it's all a bit of a blur after 7 hours viewing! Cheers, Laurence

I loved Ayshea (UFO) Brough & Roy Wood was my hero in 1973, the See My Baby Jive on TOTP with his A letter was fab

ok thanks will do...I can correct the episode for 26th April 1972 which went as follows:

Walking Through The Blue Grass - Staveley Makepiece (aka Lt Pigeon)

OKLAHOMA (no further info)
Gypsies Tramps & Thieves - Ayshea brough

Radancer - Marmalade

I guess Donnie Elbert & Marmalade both had dancers, though Marmalade were usually available for TV in those days. Donnie Elbert I dont recall ever appearing on UK TV despite 3 hits. New World were also usually available for any variety show TV...

Yes, I'm kind of a chart obsessive, and I had just back from Singapore (RAF brat) and the UK music scene was exploding with excitement so I wrote all sorts of stuff down, stuff I heard on the radio, Top Of The Pops appearances 1972, BBC chart, radio Luxembourg charts, my own charts (I started compiling my own charts in 1968 and haven't stopped!) - some of these are on popchartfreak.wordpress to view:)

I'm not sure I have any more Lift Off notes, and I didnt record any of them or TOTP, but I do have a Fluff Freeman show from the summer and lots of his end of show chart rundowns.:)

sadly not, but I wish I had! And the missing TOTP's! It's an ongoing source of grief to me that the years I most want to see are those that were wiped. Another show I loved was The Dave Cash show, he had some good stuff too..

His TV show, you mean? If so, then that one mostly (wholly?) exists. Currently owned by Dave himself, if I recall reightly.

Hi Jerry, I certainly will, it's possible I have some old notes among various charts & old Record Mirrors in the attic, but I think this one notebook contained most of my bits & pieces, Radio Luxembourg charts, BBC charts, and rundowns on what I heard randomly on the radio over an hour or so, now and again...:)
