I don't think David meant any disrespect. He is a top bloke, it was just the column with your name that confused people.

You are doing a great job Ray, and hopefully I can work your spreadsheet into a database listing so Lostshows can list the clips aswell.

Wouldn't it be easier to keep track of all this stuff it it was posted in a wiki? You could have episode lists of series and what exists and what doesn't, and others could contribute. It'd be a lot better than having the information spread around all over the place.

I'm posting this daily for the thirty days I'm doing the project (a promise I made), and all the information will be collated into a database at the end of the month for anyone who wants it.

Likewise, Kal will be getting it, too.

It is a work in progress, and I'm trying to keep people informed as I go.

By all means wait until Spetember 1st, and read my list the, Dan! ;)

I have no idea how to post on a Wiki!

Well, I didn't just mean your posts in this thread, I meant the whole missing episodes thing really. When people want to check if something is missing or not they're directed to one of various sites or maybe there isn't a site and we have to hope someone here can supply the information. It'd be a lot easier if everything was on a wiki. Nobody needs to know how to set up and host a wiki - just as proboards offer free forums without the need for anyone needing to know how to host and install your own forum there are similar services that provide a wiki, so it'd be like wikipedia but with a page for each show and you could have episode guides there and information about the shows etc and what exists.

Hi Dan,

we have lostshows.com. All the info I glean from BBC Motion Gallery is being passed on the Chris Perry at Kal, and lostshows.com will be updated with the info as a result.

Interesting Ray -as I wonder if that Sex Olympics clip is the only surviving colour footage?

That's why I've included it - at the moment - on the list. It doesn't say either way. Just wonder....

Would it be colour though? Twentieth Century Focus was a schools programme (made on film, if I recall rightly). Schools programmes were being made later in b/w, into the colour era. My guess is it would be only monochrome (as the programme was probably made that way). Interesting though as this may have been the only existing footage from the play until a print turned up in the '80s!

Roll on the VidFired / colour recovered version on DVD! :D

I have included it, just in case. It should be better quality than the print, even if it's not colour?

This might sound slightly obsessive...in fact it is,but for how many shows do we only have a few seconds because their part of serials with cliff-hangers? There's Doctor Who and Timeslip ( bit of repetition in colour (?),obviously, but how many others?
