| | A play of a something missing « Thread Started on Sept 5, 2010, 4:40pm » | |
As part of my drama work at school we have to put together a play witch will be show in June this acedemic year. I had an idea of doing a play of something missing, and during a dress rehearsal get two people to film it continuously (focusing on different parts) just like it would been done originaly. It could then be edited together to make a version of the original thing. Can anyone who has read scripts or seen missing things suggest anything. I was thinking of something like an out of the unknown or a missing nigel kneale play. The only preferences I have (for practical reasons) are that it doesn't have alot of special effects, or needs alot of sets. Another is that I wont suggest something that had regular characters like doomwatch or dr who. It is highly probable that the thing i end up suggesting wont get done, as the other people in my class would find it "boring", but I must be optimistic so any ideas would be welcome.

I think you may only be able to do an excerpt of anything missing and you may need more than two readers. Also there may be copyright issues. With reference to scripts I know that The Andromeda Anthology has shooting script pdfs of the missing episodes of A for Andromeda. The Adam Adamant Lives collection also has script pdfs of 12 missing episodes.

There will be 10 or more people (10 is the minimum we have been told)

Dear Felix, I misread your original message a bit and thought you meant only two players. If you do get to video your work I would recommend at least three cameras so that you may intercut between talking heads as well as the general scene.

ok, thanks for the advice. I thought that only one camera would make it look a bit dull, if a missing play is done then ill try to get three (or possibly more) cameras to record it.
